Posted: 9/25/14 at 11:42amI bet she'll be Berthe after the Jan.-March person (rumored to be Rhea Perlman).

Posted: 9/25/14 at 12:16pmBerthe would be fun. Could she be our Miss Primrose?

Posted: 9/25/14 at 12:19pmToo bad Cinderella is closing. She would be an exquisite fairy Godmother!

Posted: 9/25/14 at 12:23pmMiss Primrose-that could be it, too. (I must say I'd be fascinated to see her Berthe but I think Miss Primrose might be it.)

Posted: 9/25/14 at 12:28pmShe could be a great Primrose. She's got the eccentricity the part calls for.

Posted: 9/25/14 at 12:29pmI never thought of her as eccentric in the least. She does have the register for it. But she's not eccentric at all.

Posted: 9/25/14 at 12:39pmLol yea she is definitely eccentric in that video however she was so much younger. Looking at the pictures of when she visited cinderella, she doesn't look like she would be able to do all of the trapeze stuff in Pippin. I think Miss Primrose is a great guess

Posted: 9/25/14 at 1:27pmShe looks perfectly capable of playing Berthe but I'm guessing it's Miss Primrose.

Dreaming, just a random online review of her performance in Secretary suggests that I'm not alone in my assessment:
"The supporting players aren't nearly as vital to the film's success, although Lesley Ann Warren, whose twitchy onscreen presence has always struck me as being just a step or two away from requiring institutionalization, has finally found a role as Lee's eccentric mother to which she is ideally suited."

Posted: 9/25/14 at 1:32pmI hate On the Twentieth Century a bit-aside from the art work. So, I doubt I'll be seeing it. I only know Warren as an ingenue.

She's 68.
Also — it's 2014.

Posted: 9/25/14 at 1:43pmRight...I KNOW but people have a certain image of her. Again I'm sorry I find Cheno and On the 20th Century so insufferable I won't go. So I'll miss her unless she's in something else.

Given that she's 68 and you only know her from her work as an ingénue, I can assure you that her career's taken some crazy twists and turns in the past 35 years.

That's nice. I'm not really an avid fan, I merely stated what role(s) I thought her return could be.

Posted: 9/25/14 at 4:06pmGod damn, I love her performance in Victor/Victoria. Easily one of the best musical COMEDY performances on film. Haven't seen that delightful, frothy film in years, but can still hear her "Pooooookiee...."

Posted: 9/25/14 at 4:55pmShe's not really a Primrose I don't think. And back in the day she had a horrid reputation for being difficult if not psychotic, which is why we haven't seen much of her. Of course all of that may have changed.

Posted: 9/25/14 at 5:06pmI just can't picture her as Letitia RESTORIA Primrose at all. But then , I can't imagine finding that glorious score insufferable, either. I think the overture alone is one of the greatest ever composed.
