I looked over the page and couldn't determine WHAT city! Wanna clue me in?
I'm surprised it is being scheduled. Seemed to be going nowhere for a while there.

Posted: 5/3/05 at 7:53pmWill there be a concept album as there was with Aida?
re: Lestat#5
Posted: 5/3/05 at 9:13pmI would be surprised, as the Aida one didn't go over very well. I believe Lestat is scheduled for Broadway next spring.

I'm afraid. I'm going to have to see this.
You could also repeat what I just said above, but minus the period.

It could be a terrific hit or a terrible disaster. It doesn't seem like the kind of concept that would turn out just so-so.

By the way, this is not an Elton John/Tim Rice musical, as Juliet implied earlier. The lyrics are being written by Bernie Taupin, who has been the lyricist on almost all of Elton's albums since the beginning. They teamed up as songwriters in their early twenties and have worked together (with a few intermissions) ever since.
When the Anne Rice vampire books started coming out they were both very interested in doing a musical based on them, but were unable to get the rights until now.
