This is kinda off topic but my boyfriend and I are always joking how the "big black lady who stops the show" in Martin Short's show and "Trix" from Drowsy could be played by the same person except both of their big parts are at the end.

Thigpen's "If I Could Have Been" gives me chills almost every time I listen to it, and her "Cleaning Women" is just moving. She may have been a character actress, and a kids game show host, but she will always be a leading lady to me.
