I thought The Ally should've transferred from The Public. Was always surprised that didn't.

On a message board filled with weird takes, this is one of the weirdest I've ever come across. Plays don't need lives elsewhere after you've had your special experience with them? That's...not how theater works. That's not how theater should work. That's just weird."
No. It's not a weird take. It's a weird take that I can't have that opinion. There was a play at NYTW that really hit me hard in the feels. Do I need it to transfer somewhere else? Nope. I just would want people to see it, and be aware of it, and see it during its run. That's all it needs- support. The impact also won't always be guaranteed to hit you the same way if it's in a bigger space. Sure it could, but it could also take away.
In your opinion, does everything that happen off-Broadway need to transfer to Broadway? People love Titanique. Does that mean it needs a Broadway run? Have you heard industry insiders talking about how it will have one?
Jeeeze give it a break. I agree: not everything that’s good off Broadway needs to transfer. Literally nobody said that! This is a thread that is specifically about Liberation: a show that would be great to transfer that has producers interested in doing so. Repeatedly saying “everything doesn’t need to transfer” in this thread is like sitting in an Italian restaurant complaining you don’t like Thai food. Unless your point is going to be about why you specifically think this play shouldn’t transfer—then say why! But all you’re doing is going on and on and derailing this conversation. It’s not that you can’t have an opinion—it’s that you don’t even seem to have one and you keep going on!

Are you reading anything I'm saying? I'm saying yes, it would be great for more audiences to see. But sometimes a show doesn't have the same impact in a bigger theater that it did in a smaller, more intimate location. I literally said that before and you're ignoring me. I'm happy to end my participation in this conversation here. I hope you have a good day
