Liev Schreiber this weekend......

So, hubby and I are catching TALK RADIO this weekend. Anyone seen it as of late? How is Liev holding up as "Barry"? And is the production still bracing and invigorating after all these weeks?

re: Liev Schreiber this weekend......

When I saw it at the end of March, I found it none of those things. More like boring, grating, and just plain annoying.

But that's probably just me.

I don't like TALK RADIO as a play, but this production is fantastic, and Liev is brilliant.

i agree. Liev is amazing but the play is used too much as a "shock vehicle". it is a credit to an actor for me to single him out of the piece itself. i was like "ooh this is boring but damn is he good!"

He did nothing for me. I couldn't have vared less about the character. The whole end part? I wanted to stand up and scream "Who the f--- cares?"

But that's why there's different shows. Different people like different things. I'm nowhere near the Liev bandwagon. *shudder*

I just saw the show on Saturday...I found the play to be just ok, but Liev's performance was amazing.

re: Liev Schreiber this weekend......

I saw it last Thursday night, and while I thought Liev's performance was very good, the play as a whole was nothing extraordinary, and the production as a whole was nothing out of the ordinary, but very well done.

re: Liev Schreiber this weekend......

I saw it this past Sunday, I thought the play was odd, and I don't think I got everything in it (like what does the main character break down at the end). Liev was very good, not what I expected, but none the less very good.
