I loved the show but there were two things either i missed or they didnt elaborate more on in the show.

1) Was their a problem with the brothers wife getting pregnant? It just seemed to insinuate she couldnt.

2) The mother, did she fall for an italian guy before or something? Just cause she talks about italian guys a lot?

For 1 I thought it was that either Guiseppe/Franca didn't want a child, or hadn't tried.

See i just got the impression that she wanted a child. Maybe he didnt then.
