They both definitely have amazing cats though. I don't know, it would be a tough decision if I could get to New York. Have you ever seen Sweeney before?

Well, I am sure in your life you'll have more than one opportunity to see Sweeney, but once Piazza is gone, I imagine it'll be gone for a while. Piazza was a life changing theatrical experience for me, partially due to the performances and production aspects. So while I haven't seen Sweeney obviously, I'd go with Piazza.

Man...that really is a tough one. I would choose Sweeney Todd over Piazza because the brilliance of the show itself. Sweeney Todd is just not something to miss. Oh, yeah, not to mention a certain actor in the lead! re: Light in the Piazza...or Sweeny Revival

I adore Piazza. It's truely unique in it's own form, but Sweeney Todd is just classic musical theatre.

If you can only see one of them, I would go with Piazza. It has already proven itself to be a good production. The new Sweeney staging smells kinda iffy to me.

Light Cheese on the Pizza will eventually tour, again...

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

I would see THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA because the music is so gorgeous, and the cast is amazing! Clark, O'Hara, and Morrison are all fantasic! Go see it, you will love it!!
