"Ladies and gentleman, I give you the first official House scoop of the new season: Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda has been cast as House's psych hospital roomie, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Miranda, best known for writing and starring in the Broadway musical In The Heights, will appear in at least two episodes beginning with the show's sixth season premiere this fall.

A House insider tells me producers are looking for other "interesting actors" to populate the psychiatric facility that became House's home in last month's finale. So if you're an actor who excels at riding the crazy train, forward this story to your agent ASAP..."

that's an odd statement. Is there something about house that you find objectionable, cause its a really good show.

Same here. I don't watch House, but I'll definitely check the episode out with Lin in it.


And while we are on the subject of broadway actors appearing in tv shows, Norbert Leo Butz was just in a new episode of Law and Order: CI called "In Treatment." I haven't catched it yet, but I'm pretty sure he *SPOILER* plays the killer. *END SPOILER*

I'm glad they're actually going to set a couple of episodes in the mental hospital rather than having House be magically cured by the fall. Possibly that's because I really want to see House-as-McMurphy.

He's wonderful! So far he's really the only thing about the ep that I like. Great job playing a manic person, IMO.

Although I thought the talent show thing was a forced plot point, the episode as a whole was excellent and Miranda definitely stole every scene he was in. He has a very sensitive face, and seems comfortable on camera. Good job!
