Does anyone know if the cancellation line is worth it, or perhaps someone has an extra ticket? Any other ideas on how to score a last-minute ticket?
And is it good?

sorry, dolly ... i must beg to differ.
the production is genius. i think one's opinion comes down to precisely how insufferable one finds woolf. i thought the book was virtually impenetrable for the first 100 pages ... then it opened up and i really got into it. but it ain't no mrs. dalloway.
whatever ... for the craft alone it is entirely worth seeing.

I can't speak to the cancellation line, since I saw Waves at the National in London, but I can speak to it's quality; which is amazing.
I will add the caveat, it is not the easiest piece to get through (but frankly, neither is the novel) but for the imagery alone in act 2 (the first 15 minutes are really quite ingenious). (I was also remarkably tired when I saw it [this was the tail end of a 26 production 2 week Edinburgh/London smorgasbord] so maybe that made my job a bit harder).

I agree! Absolutely incredible storytelling! I was engrossed for almost the entire play, brought a whole new meaning to video projection in theater for me. I also saw the show at the national so I don't know how it compares.

My "No" was a response to the query about the cancellation line; not a comment on the show's merits.
Geeze!

Well rentboy, the staging is done as live sound and video foley, rather than describe that (which is proving to be problematic) just watch the video on the linked website!

I saw it twice in London, and original production and then the revival with the same cast, it is incredibly beautiful and a unique piece of theatre. It is difficult though and both times I saw it there were numerous walk outs, but if you've got an open mind and a grown up attention span then hopefully you will be captivated by it!
