She made such a splash in the 1980's in The Pirates of Penzance, I always wondered why she never returned to the New York stage. Of course, she went on to many more successes: her albums of standards with Nelson Riddle, hit duets with Aaron Neville, and popular albums of Mexican music. Anyone else a fan?
She's playing with the Dallas Symphony in August but it's only available to subscribers, at least right now. Aaaaarrrggg!!!!

She actually did return to the NY stage...in fact, the Public. She performed in a version of La Boheme for Joe Papp. I believe Howard McGillen and David Carroll.
David Carroll...a great loss to the Broadway community.

I had to dig up this old post to report that I just successfully ordered two front orchestra seats to Linda with the Dallas Symphony! HOOORAY!

Ronstadt Rocks! Her voice is one of the most glorious and recognizable voices in the industry. I was rooting hard for her to play "Lucy" after Linda Eder in J&H, instead of stunt casting the Jekyll role. But then who knows how long that would have helped it.
I'd love to see her in something, anything, again, soon.
