Felicia had trouble hitting the belted notes? I find that a bit hard to imagine. Maybe she was having an off day, or she was sick. The possibilites are endless.
I imagine they all were amazing.
Yeah, i thought the same. Felicia having trouble hitting belty notes? Are you sure you saw miss Finley? She never misses any note while in The Wedding Singer. Her belt is perfection.

What I saw in Kathy Voytko's protrayal of Eva was the successful presentation of a character that generated real emotion. I agree with the others who heard no flip between head and chest, and thought she sang magnificently.
I followed that tour's reviews quite closely, and there truly was no middle ground. Folks either loved or hated Kathy's portrayal of Eva, and, consequently, loved or hated the show. There was no middle ground.
In a recent article about her latest project, Voytko stated, "With a classic, everyone has their own strong opinion. I never did anything so divisive as ("Evita"), even though Hal Prince told me exactly what he wanted and I did exactly what he wanted..." (Chicago Daily Herald)
Saw Felicia in EVITA, she had no trouble singing the score, as a matter of fact it was flawless. Truly a great and grand performance.
Wow, that picture. Whoaaa.

I saw Sarah Litzsinger and I thought she was pretty good. I much preferred her voice to Patti's, and I felt like she could belt pretty well. She didn't do the "higher" note in "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" - instead she either switched to head voice or just opted for another note. It was a matinee though so she might have been saving her voice for the night performance.
