Stephen Flaherty confirmed that it is, indeed, Broadway-bound! He said "hopefully for next season" in this interview from last week:

It's not dead yet. The show needed some work and perhaps different casting choices, but what I saw had good bones.

I think Luker would stay on and I truly hope Boyd Gaines would as well. Many of the supporting players--Tiler Peck, Karen Ziemba, Jenny Powers, Sophia Anne Caruso--I don't know. On the Town and An American in Paris have shown us how deep the field of singing and acting dancers is. I thought that Caruso was lovely, but she's aging out of the role very rapidly.
