I've heard that the woman who voiced Ursula in the cartoon is reprising her role in the musical.
I believe Ursula will be a puppet though.

Is it just me, or do we all want Cheyenne for Eric? XD (This is a serious question btw. If you favour someone else or just plain don't want Cheyenne, I'd love to hear it. Add a bit of variety to the discussion, y'know?)
I can't quite decide who I personally would favour as Ariel, Kerry or Celia, but I'd looooove to see Sara Ramirez as Ursula. Although *obviously* Pat Carroll would be brilliantly cast in the role so I don't see myself being too upset if that turns out to be true.

Posted: 7/31/06 at 8:44amwell the only person i think whom can pull it off as Ariel is Kerry Butler. And from what i read on wikidpedia, she's signed up for the Musicals workshop. So my votes for her. i really don't mind who wins the other roles but as long as theyre good and know how to sing

Posted: 7/31/06 at 2:19pmAWESOME!!! I tthink that as far as Ariel is conserned that they should cast Jodi Benson in the part. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE else should have the origional role. P.s. Brent Barrett can't play triton b/c he's in Vegas Phantom right now. I also know someone that would be PERFECT for the part of Ursla after the origional cast runs their show. She played Ursla (but we had to change the name to Octavia b/c the rights 2 Ursla name were very expensive for a community theater company). Her voice wasn't as deep or edgy as the one in the cartoon, she did really well creating the character. Her laugh made chills run up and down my spine. (shudder)
