The Little Mermaid has just raised it's rear mezz seats to $51 compared to the old price of $41.50. Is this for the demand?
oh ****...that sucks. they also raised the $81 seats to $91.

Rising theater prices? Who would have thought. Just the beginning kiddies.
At least they were a little cheaper for previews.
We had no intention of seeing it anyway so it matters not.
I am sorry for the parents of all the little kiddies who want to see it who will be asked again to dig a little deeper.
Glad I got my tickets a few months ago!
Wow, guys... 10 dollars. 10 whole dollars.
The $ 10 arguement is the producers best friend. Hey, its only $ 10. Than mid season or next year another & another $ 10 & on & on.
Remember that when gas goes up another five or 10 cents a gallon. The same holds true when Starbucks raises prices - " hey its only....."
This is commonly called the Death Of A Thousand Cuts.
Boo! Why????? Ticket prices are already high enough!
Trust Disney to do that.
freakin stage hands, they ruined everything
"10 whole dollars" to this college student living on FAFSA is a lot. That's two to three meals in one day. So yeah, it is a big deal to a lot of people.
ONLY A FOOL WOULD SAY $10 IS NOT A BIG RAISE....ITS A 25% INCREASE IN PRICE
Wow billynj, I missed where it said the money is going directly to the stagehands?
I agree Mr. Roxy, the show doesn't seem worth the raise. Please use Playbill and Tkts for your Disney viewing pleasure.
I can only hope it brings down sales some. Obviously Disney doesn't care. Hopefully it will go to video. Their audience are those with deep pockets. Let it go to the Theatre. The rest of us will take the discount. It just makes it a little more difficult to plan ahead but such is business on Broadway.
YF isn't doing so hot now is it? How are their big ticket seats selling right now? Still I suppose alright but reviewers keep putting in their bad two cents so that can't be very good either.

We had no intention of seeing it anyway so it matters not.
You said the same thing about YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, about 100 times. And then you finally saw it.

I will tell you again so try & understand it this time around. Mrs R wanted to see it so as a birthday present I got her tickets. Must I explain it again?
She told me she did not want to see Mermaid unless it was on TDF as she is not that interested in it so that will be the only way we see it. If we see it we see it & if not no big deal.

Broadway show tickets going up in price? Gee, what's next...gas prices going up? Come on folks, let's be real here.
Have you ever heard of Broadway theatre tickets ever coming down in price (not including TKTS or discount codes)? It's a reality of life. Prices go up on everything. This shouldn't be that big of a surprise.

suck it up people... you all know that even though they raise prices, your still going to go see the show. like someone said before "10 whole dollars" you will all save the extra 10 bucks and go see the show if you want to see the show....
but dont go see the show...
haha im sorry, i just thought TLM was terrible.
Just got back from NYC a couple days ago... saw 11 shows, paid approx. 220 bucks in total.
rush tickets! rush is your friend
Disney doesn't care. Most of the parents who are going to be taking their kids to the show most likely know that Broadway is expensive. They just most likely don't keep a good track of how expencive it is and how much it is going up by.
This is how disney can get them. They know that people are generally aware of the fact that theatre tickets coast a fair amount of money but that no one really keeps a good track of how much.
Disney is not the only one raising prices so do not blame them.
who cares? ... as long as the ticket prices are under $500 its a reasonable price!
... hides ...
... that is some BS to do it on the mezzanine seats ... but wasnt $41 lowre than most places anyway?
