Little Mermaid on Broadway — Page 3

Wicked is just too trivial in my mind - the book is dark and brooding - thats why it should have been written by Sondheim and Lapine. But there were definitely some entertaining moments - the performances were wonderful - its just the whole "scrubbed up" image of the show as compared to the book - and I will say this again, if a show is about Witches - they should FLY. With the technology available out there - I can see no reason that Elphaba couldn't sit on that broom and fly out over the audience. It just makes no sense to me. Look at the revival of Peter Pan a few years ago at the Marriott - the flying was wonderful - really spectacular.

however, i shall continue to agree with redhot... where was the damn flying, monkeys, witches, whatever!? and where's the damn cheese on my eff-ing cheese fries???

and HEY, isn't this thread about The Little Mermaid??? is there going to be swimming???

The Little Mermaid has swimming kangaroos??? i MUST see this film!

i'm just wondering if there might be a part for an actual swimming kangaroo in The Little Mermaid... although kangaroos do stink when they get wet...

Umm, i love these boards, they're kinda hysterical, especially when there are kangaroos in water, major points to joey and redhot for keeping things amusing...

they may be more comfortable, but they are the same folks who did the flying in wicked which is no great shakes as far as i'm concerned.
