Oh, and I was so hoping that "The Miller's Son" would be better. It's one of my favorite Sondheim songs, and that just didn't cut it, in my mind.
Gotta say this concert is really holding my interest.
A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC poorly done can really be a SNOOZER.
So they must be doing something right.
Makes my appetite even stronger for a Broadway revival.

Oh, morosco, from your lips...
One of my all time favorite musicals. I really enjoyed this overall.
Really? I didn't care much for it. Mostly because I think NIGHT MUSIC needs a Desiree that truly holds your attention...and I'm sorry but Ebersole was kind of dull. This is the second time I hear/see her in a show post-GREY GARDENS in which she uses exactly the same voice, mannerisms, and acting. She sounds exactly like she did when she played Margo Channing for Encores! APPLAUSE.
I do agree that her "Send in the Clowns" was exquisite, but I don't think it redeems the whole performance.
Did anyone record it? I'm pretty ticked that I missed it.
