I think it's worth taking the trip. The sets and costumes are great, the plant will astound you, and each actor gives a worthy performance. It's hysterically funny as well, and is, all together, a wonderful evening in the theater.

I'll be going again in April, and I love the show.
Like Billy Lawlor said, each actor gives a great performance from the very first moment the three girls step on the stage.
And if you've seen the show before and like the music, then the Broadway version will only make you love them more. It's just a lot of fun and not boring at all!

Agreed!
And plus it stars Hunter Foster and Kerry Butler, who are both terrific. And the three urchants- they are the best part!

audrey 2 steals the entire show. its cool to see the plant start off small and then by the end of the show it's the size of the stage(and a few of the first couple rows)

I was at the first preview and I loved it. I imagine it has come a long way sinse. Kerry Butler and Douglas Sills were my favorites!

I saw it in previews as well, and I'm so excited to see it now that it has been on Broadway for a few months.

When I first raved about the show I was attacked as being a shill. The show was from day one a crowd pleaser. There are some Alice Ripley fans and friends on this site who took out their frustrations about her firing on this production. Read the postings and you will clearly see who are the shills for whom. LSOH is one of the best, if not the best show on Bway.

LSOH doesn't stand a chance at winning the revival Tony.
Both BIG RIVER and WONDERFUL TOWN were better and better received.

The revival Tony may depend on who makes it to Tony time. If WT is gone it will be nominated but not win. Same for LSOH. Fiddler stand the best chance of still being around come Tony time and I think would be the favorite.
