Thanks for the link, WDIN.. it looks GREAT!
Ok, this is really starting to grate on my nerves. Through that entire video it was all about SUTTON FOSTER. Don't get me wrong, I love her and I loved her in Little Women when I saw it, but she is NOT the best part of that musical. I thought the others sisters and especially Maureen McGovern as Marmee were BRILLIANT. How about those people? Why don't they get recognized or something. I mean, Maureen is a legend and that part with her singing brought tears to my eyes because it brought me back when I saw the show. I cried my eyes out at that part (and the scene before it). Sorry for the rant, but that is how it was when I went and saw the show. Everyone ignored Maureen when Sutton came out and the look on Maureen's face was heartbreaking.
Agreed. I have absolutely nothing against Sutton- Im sure she'll be fabulous. But this is an ENSEMBLE show. There should be no leading lady out of the four sisters.
well, I just think Sutton is trying to get another Tony like what she did in Millie. she is awesome though

I don't think Sutton has any control over how the media is going to represent the show. She's always been the little darling of Broadway.com, it's not surprising to see her being featured more than anyone else in their photos and videos for Little Women.
I wasn't saying it was her fault (which I know it isn't) I am just saying a musical is a GROUP effort. Everyone should get recognized for their work. I mean it was pretty much fine until the "How great is Sutton" question at the end where about 4 people said how great Sutton is and then it was over. Well, at least they showed Maureen sing a little bit of her song. Also, I can tell by that video that Sutton still overacts, although not as bad as she did when I saw her. Don't get me wrong.....like I said in my other post, I really did like her and I LOVE her voice. I am just saying give other people credit where credit is definetly due.

I wasn't attacking you Spider. I was merely pointing out to those in question, like the poster who commented that Sutton was trying for another tony, that she had nothing to do with how the show was slanted on Broadway.com.
Oh, I know you weren't attacking me. Sorry if my post made it seem that way. No worries.
Could I have any information about the people in Little Women. Everyone looks amazing, and I can't wait to see this show... thanks!

I absoulety adore Sutton Foster. I think she is the best, and it pains me to have to wait until mid January to see this show, but a promise is a promise.
I can't wait until February! Yay!
It's a great show with great "old fashioned" music. I am sure you will love it.
Is this an opera or a musical? I know a Little Woman opera premiered at the Houston Grand Opera not too long ago. Not sure if that's the same one.

Wow, Sutton's got a lot of energy lol.
That was a good video. From that alone, I can see a Tony for her. Granted, I haven't seen any competition, but still lol

I haven't seen the show, but Sutton is the star of the show, no? That's what I thought all along. She's the only actress with her name billed above the title--and the only Tony winner in the cast. And isn't Jo always the star of "Little Women," from Katherine Hepburn right on down to Winona Ryder? Based on the Ryder movie, I completely disagree about it being an ensemble show. The journey is completely Jo's, no?
"...and it pains me to have to wait until mid January to see this show..."
Well, how do you think it feels when you probably won't be able to get to NYC to see it at all, or have to wait like fifty million years before seeing it?
I think the rehearsal video looks amazing. The harmony between the for girls is gorgeous, and Sutton Foster's seems absolutely perfect for the role! I can't wait to see Little Women!

yeah, jo is the main character or at least, based on the book and then the movies she is. so its rite that sutton shud b shown the most

Wow. I can't wait to see it! And I agree with ifagirlisntpretty; traditionally, it's Jo's story. I see no problem with Sutton being billed as the star because she's playing the main character.
