Has anyone seen the touring Little Shop cast yet? They're coming to Chicago later this month, and I have to decide between Little Shop and and Les Mis, niether which I have seen.

And does anyone know if Anthony Rapp will still be in the cast by this time? because *that* might be the deciding factor for me. Thanks.

Someone has probably already beaten me to this, but I would say go to both. Both are very good and worthwhile.

Anthony is no longer in LSOH because he's filming Rent, but Tari Kelly who plays Audrey is fantastic and it should be good regardless.

Yes, Racetrack is correct. Anthony Rapp has left the production. But Jonathan Rayson (who was Anthony's understudy in LITTLE SHOP on Broadway) is now playing Seymour.

Tari Kelly, who plays Audrey, has been getting great reviews. Go to her website and you can listen to clips of her singing songs from LITTLE SHOP. (http://www.tarikelly.com)

I'm so excited for this production. I saw Joey Fatone and Jessica-Snow Wilson on Broadway a few weeks before it closed, and I'm seeing the tour when it comes to CT in March. SO EXCITED!!!! I just hope Tari Kelly is still around by then...

Trust me, I would KILL to go to both, but I'm also going to prom, paying for an outside theatre company, and attempting to see Wicked as well when it comes in april... and I'm currently recieving minimum wage... soo...

At this moment I'm leaning towards little shop, because even without Anthony, if the Audrey is good that should make up for it.

Does anyone know where I can listen to some sound clips from LSoH? I've been looking everywhere for clips from the US equity tour but I can't seem to find any. Any info you have on that would be helpful. Thanks

XxVeGanChaPstickxX, I think you're mistaken. The LSOH tour isn't coming here to Chicago until June.

Not to revive an old discussion, but I hope the tour is an improvement over the Broadway production. I don't know this Tari Kelly, but my hopes hinge on her.

Actually, I looked on ticket master, and it says that it will be here for about a week. I could be wrong, or maybe we're both right?

Who knows, but I guess it never hurts to double check.

Hopefully it will be coming in June though, which would make my decision a whole lot easier.

Wow, I just listened to the clips on Tari Kelly's website and she is fantastic! She and Anthony Rapp can really belt those songs out. Are they both on some kind of cast recording? I'd love to hear all the songs from the show but, again, I dont know where to find them. I read a post on IMDb talking about a bunch of clipettes from the equity tour so I know they're out there somewhere....

you will not be dissappointed w/the little shop cast, they are so talented, tari kelly is so funny!! the urchins are so talented, mushnik is hillarious, of course you don't have anthony rapp, but I'm sure the other seymour is just as good. umm...yea, it's a really good show!!

The tour is in Houston right now and I saw it Friday night. I personally LOVED it but it got HORRIBLE reviews here in Houston and my friends and I were the only ones to stand up at curtain call. I hate it when that happens.. haha. But yes, Jonathan Rayson is amazing, not as good as Hunter, but amazing non the less. The three urchins were my favorite part of the show. I would really recommend it!

Damn, I wish I'd known about LSoH when it was in LA on tour! I hate it when I find a play I really want to see and it literally JUST left LA. And Anthony Rapp just left less then a month ago. The fact taht I could have driven like 10 mins to go see the show makes me very sad.

The LSOH song clips on Tari Kelly's website are not from a cast recording. They are from an actual live performance. I'm not sure how Tari does it, but she has lots of live clips from lots of different productions she's been involved in. She must have the sound team record the microphones or something.

Menken Fan: Lots of reviews have compared Tari to Kerry Butler (original B'way Audrey), and Tari has been getting much better reviews than Kerry. So this looks to be a better production!

Tari Kelly has an AMAZING voice. True, she is the only person I've heard so far to sing as Audrey (ditto to Anthony Rapp as Seymour) but she really belts out the songs. She deserves those good reviews.

Little Shop won't be coming to Chi-town until Late June early July. Not this month.

The only part that that isn't as good as the Broadway production is that the plant doesn't come out into the audience at the end like it did on Broadway. That was SO COOL! I thought Kerry was a lot funnier and a better actress but I liked the way Tari sang the role better.

WOW cool pic! Now I REALLY wanna see the show! I wish I could have seen Anthony in it but oh well, I'm sure the new Seymour is just as good. I just cant seem to find any sound clips of Anthony as Seymour! its so frustrating. People keep saying how beautifully he sings in the show and how much he belts but I cant find a sound bite. grrr.

So far as I know there aren't any soundclips of him doing Grow for Me or anything. I could be wrong though. I have heard the person playing Seymour is really good anyways.

Damn! I'm so curious to hear him belt those songs now! They need to release a cast recording from the equity tour so I can hear it.
