I actually saw this in early 1974 (I was 8 years old) and still remember it quite vividly. I had already discovered the genius of Bob Fosse by then so I was ALL up in anything Bob Fosse, including Miss Liza. My poor folks had to endure quite a bit of me in those days. By the way, the show wasn't titled LIZA AT THE WINTER GARDEN -- it was simply titled LIZA. The LP recording was titled LIZA AT THE WINTER GARDEN.
This 'live' recording is sensational and one of the few Liza Minnelli recordings I can say I listen to whenever I need a Liza kick. The orchestrations are INSANE!
Oh, and I remember Angela Lansbury's GYPSY opened a few months later at the same theatre: the Winter Garden.
