I'm watching it on Netflix instant watch, or whatever you call it. I'm finding it unwatchable. Not because of Liza. But because half of it looks like this...
I haven't seen the top of her head yet. Is this unique to Netflix?

I had the exact same problem, artscallion, and posted about it in the other Liza thread. I don't think this is Netflix's fault. The video was either shot terribly or has been misframed. I didn't see it on PBS and don't have the DVD or Blu-ray for comparison, but this may be a mastering issue.
I assume the show was filmed at an aspect ratio of 1.78:1, but the Netflix stream looks like it's about 2:1 (or thereabouts) with unnecessary black bars on the top and bottom of the frame. Can anyone else confirm if the DVD and/or Blu-ray are similar?

I was watching it on my computer, not my TV, using the Netflix viewer. It doesn't give you any settings options other than "full screen" or "not full screen". Either option gives you the same wide screen picture, as ABB2357 has described, just bigger or smaller. Guess I'll wait to get the actual disc from Netflix to see.

You see Liza doesn't look like she does on the cover. Netflix is ok-that's what she really looks like-theres nothing wrong with your computer.
Oh wait, you mean the fact that she doesn't have a head. Nevermind.

Posted: 2/3/10 at 10:50pmDo you have the DVD or Blu-ray, Dame? The reason I didn't think it was Netflix's fault is because they usually stream the DVD transfers for their instant watch films from a server. If it was taken directly from the DVD, it would be a case of bad authoring and hopefully the product would be recalled and corrected in that scenario.
