Anyone have thoughts on the loge at the Vivian Beaumont? I didn't take too much notice to it when I was there. Good view? High up? Feel far away?
~Thoughts appreciated....

I sat center, front row. And it was great. At times, I felt like I just wanted to lean forward and go join the performers...

Of course, row...C is definitely going to give you a sense of more intimacy, but the loge gave you a great wide perspective of the entire stage. I didn't really see anything wrong with it.

Excellent.
I've been offered row C center in the Loge...
I believe it's during Victoria's vacation, but i'm such a fan of Patti C....i'm sure it will be fine. re: Loge at Piazza?

Oh, I have no doubt you'll have a great afternoon/evening. I will stand by what I say that almost every single seat in that theatre is a great one, a) because the theatre is just so intimate itself, it's very wide and short and the seats cascade in a way where you have a good view of everything, and b) the show's just great, so even if you just go and you can't see it, just LISTENING to it is pure joy.

Oh honey...
I've seen it. It's gorgeous. I'm now bringing mom. She'll have a good cry.

i like Patti C as well, but she has precious little to do in the show, at least vocally. But she's great.

Yes, but during Victoria Clark's vacation, Patti will be playing Margaret.

I sat Center Loge, Row C the first time I went, and it was perfect. No complaints here.

It's like a mezzanine. It's above the rear orchestra.

Patti Cohenour's moment in Aiutami is one of my favorites. Well, that and the one where she bashes Giuseppe in Italian. Hee hee!

I've seen the show in the loge twice, and it's perfectly fine. Like Aigoo said, the theatre is intimate, so the mezzanine doesn't feel quite as far away as it does in a lot of theatres. If you do see Patti go on as Margaret, please post a review, because I'm curious to hear opinions of her performance, especially now that she's had time to rehearse.
