Julia deserves the attention and praise that I'm sure this role will bring her -- While I agree that she deserves an original and remarkable starring role on Broadway, I have faith that'll come in time.
For now, this is the perfect show to get her name (and talent) to the masses!

it apparently begins filming in March 2006 in NYC (the live action stuff, of course) - some of the animation has already been completed, I think, and it's slating for a late 2006/early 2007 release. :)
at least from what I hear.

joliz, I totally agree -- People keep saying "I had never heard of her before!" and I can only think "well... then you haven't been paying attention to Hollywood, because she's been around for awhile - and in a lot of movies."
Her publicist is way more attuned to what sells, who to talk to, what magazine photoshoots and talk shows to book, etc. She's been doing it longer than any of the other actors' publicists. And good for her! 'Rent' I think will definitely boost her career, because

I would be extrememly happy if this went to Dodger Stages. I loved the show in SF, Kerry Butler was phenomenal in the lead. She plays a remarkably convincing 16-year-old.

How and where did you "pick up a couple of each cover?"
They are just slipped inside newspapers... So you just go to where newspapers are stacked or sold, and look around for a few of the LIFE magazines inside. Several that I picked up had just fallen out of the papers, so I just picked them up.

don't know if this was mentioned, but something with "Rent", or the cast or something is going to be on "A&E Breakfast with the Arts" this coming sunday (11/27/05) @ 8AM

aww, how cute -- I didn't know she was in an Earthlink commercial. When/where did you see it? Hopefully it'll become as frequent as the Kristin/Old Navy one, which is on every 5 minutes.

Ellen knew that he was married to Idina -- He was on her show back in like... January and she asked about Idina's fall during "Wicked", asking if she was alright. And Taye talked to Ellen about Idina hating her arms and stuff.
Ellen can be clueless, but she wasn't completely out of it. She knew Idina was there standing next to him and that they were married.

As far as I know, she was NOT on this morning on "The Today Show" -- the cast was rescheduled to ALL appear yesterday, so Idina wasn't on this morning.
If she was, it's news to me. Even people who watched the entire 3 hours of the show this morning didn't see her.

I'm jumping on the "Does ANYONE have a good quality upload of this to put online?!?!" I'm so upset that I missed it, I didn't even know the whole cast was going to be on.
