A tour brought London Assurances for a limited time to the Palace theatre during the 1970's. I think Judi Dench was in the cast with Donald Sinden. Sinden won a drama desk award.

I saw that 1970’s production, and I was pretty sure I would remember if Judi Dench had been in it, so I checked ibdb, and she wasn’t:

London Assurance is a wonderful, fun play.  I recommend everyone here give it a try if they are in NY this holiday season.  I have tickets!

I did see Sinden and Dench together at Stratford in Much Ado About Nothing in 1976. Robin Ellis (soon to become Poldark) was also in the cast.
