London BWW Get Together...

Hi Everybody.

Don't post here all that much (I'm mostly over on the Broadway and Off-Topic Board), but inspired by the NYC and California BWW Picnics, I was wondering if people here would be interested in meeting up?

I think it would be fun to meet the other London BWWers. While the weather is still somewhat pleasant we could meet up in one of the parks or something along those lines as it would be free and would enable anybody who feels like it to participate.

Let me know how you guys feel about it.

re: London BWW Get Together...

I'd love to Yessie, but I live in Dublin and so I'll probably not be able to go, unless it's on when I head over to see Wicked and my parents suddenly give me the freedom to roam about the city on my own with people they've never met, so no, I probably won't be able. I'll keep up to date though, and if it's on at a handy time I'll try.

Yah... I know there are not as many people on this board as on the other ones... I'll keep bumping it up for a bit.

re: London BWW Get Together...

i live in London so can make suggestions to what we could do. my flatmate says there is a place in Knightbrige on a Sunday where you can get up and sing songs with a pianist- might not be every week though. In a place like London we can find something to do for sure. There might be a singalong a Sound of Music kind of thing at the Prince Charles cinema in Leicester square- a must- the list is endless

re: London BWW Get Together...

Those sound fantastic! Where in London are you at JohnBoy? I live around Queensway/Bayswater, so pretty central.

Let's see if some more people feel like meeting up...

Well, I'll be in London from Aug 26 to Sep 3 and I'd love to meet BWW people!

re: London BWW Get Together...

Super, so I was thinking maybe the 9th or 16th of September. GuyFromGermany is only here till the 3rd, so maybe the 2nd would work as well.
Let me know which one you guys would prefer.

I think seeing Footlose would be fun. But it would be nice if everyone who wants to could come meet up (meaning we shouldn't make having the money to purchase a ticket the factor) and we also would't actually be able to sit together unless someone here is willing to put the charge for all the tickets, for people he/she doesn't actually know yet, on his/her credit card.... yeah so that probably won't work too well. re: London BWW Get Together...

Any other suggestions? Maybe dinner or the piano bar JohnBoy3 suggested could be fun, or like I said we could just meet up for a picnic in one of the parks like the NYC crowd did...
Or we could of course see a show and then meet up afterwards for drinks (if no one is underage) if that's what everyone would like to do. I'm up for most anything!

re: London BWW Get Together...

I'm game for all those ideas (except for the putting the charge on the credit card....) I'm free pretty much all the time (gotta love being a student) except the weekend of the 16th (hitting up Oktoberfest). What do the rest of you think?
