Well, as far as I know Li'l Abner wil be part of Goodspeed's upcoming season. If there is enough of a demand for it(and it gets good reviews), it could have a life after the Goodspeed run.

Jane Krakowski is great in the role but physically she's not right for it. Consider 3 other actresses who have played the role:

That's not fair to say that she's not right for the part because she doesn't look it compared to other actresses. The whole point of a revival is to show a revisioning of a show or roles within a show. Geeze, with your thinking, everyone who plays Charlie Brown would have to be bald.

I didn't buy someone as drop dead beautiful as Jane Krakowski tolerating her relationship with Nathan because she wouldn't have to. There would be no shortage of offers of other guys wanting her. And she's so fed up with Nathan that she would have taken one of them. You see where I'm coming from? Adelaide should be shop worn, lived in, a faded beauty rather than a pin up model. Just because this revival took a different tack doesn't mean they got it right.

Wow...I wish I lived in the same world you did in which all the pretty people automatically got to have perfect lives. Have you considered that that's why Adelaide is stuck selling her body in such a fashion? That's the only thing she has. There are a lot of beautiful women who are forced by circumstance to take on jobs like this or end up with men like Nathan.
