Beautiful.
Michael applying his own makeup, aids the transformation.
I think the Broadway look tends to go too drag, but Michael has found a great balance.
I was absolutely certain that London would fall in love with Hairspray !!! The British have great taste in Theater, so how could they not ADORE on of the greatest shows ever ? I am really happy I was right and congratulations to all involved in the London show and especially to our own Leanne !!!

Just such a shame that we had to wait 5 years for it. It was stalled so many times with excuses such as 'problems with importing the set from the States' etc etc. Anyway, we have it now and im sure it'll be around for a few years. Hope our recasting gets to be as interesting as they have made it for Broadway. South Africa opened just now too. I guess places like Australia wont be fare behind, they have 'Priscilla' so they would love 'Hairspray' im sure!

Congrats to the London cast for all the rave reviews.
The Korean production of Hairspray is opening later this month and I hope this will be as good as the Broadway/London productions.

@Marc Shaiman: It looks pretty promising to me. The production company that is doing the show had huge hits with shows like Rent, Mamma Mia and Aida, which I saw and thought it was as good as the Broadway version.
Plus, they hired two celebrities for the role of Edna (one very popular comedian, one well-known actor) so hopefully its box-office performance will be good too.
One thing that kinda bothers me is that one of the actresses who will play Tracy is not chubby enough, so she will wear a fat suit. But it looks like a minor issue.

@CDuffy5062: It's called SeenSee Musical Company. Check out the website http://www.iseensee.com/ (in Korean).
I'm sorry for hijacking this thread!
Not quite sure what you mean about British reviews being cryptic!
But then I am British lol
Can't wait to see this...again and again. And hopefully Michael Ball decides he is having so much fun that he extends past the 9 months?

I'm hoping for an original London cast recording myself.
Not in lieu of an extension; in addition to :)
I was going to ask if the Korean Porduction was authorized - but after looking at the site- it seems pretty legit.
Their Link is cute! But I guess all Link's are. :)
