I need some long monologues for my speech team, and I know you guys can all help me, because you can always help! Are there any sites where I can find a monologue that is between 7 and 10 minutes long and isn't horrible? I've tried monologuearchive.com, but they're all too short, as are many of the books with monologues in them. Is there a site, play or a book I should look into that will have what I'm looking for? Thanks so much for any advice.

If they're selling Tony Kushner's Homebody/ Kabul, I think there's an enormous monologue there. Actually, I think it might be too long, but I've never seen the show. Updated On: 8/22/04 at 04:12 PM

I can't think of the character name off the top of my head. But it's the really long one from The Actor's Nightmare. You can't miss it if you look at the script. It's I think a page and a half maybe 2 pages long.

There's a great monologue on baseball in Take Me Out, too. Not that I know how long it is when performed. :)
