Posted: 6/19/11 at 2:02pm8 shows a week times 52 weeks = 416 performances a year. It takes less than 2 years to get on that playbill list. It takes about 2 1/2 years to reach 1,000.

Posted: 6/19/11 at 10:28pmWhat I've always found strange about this list is the off Broadway entry on Tony 'n Tina's Wedding. We're told its performance count is 4,905 as of May 1,2004. Well, what I wonder is why did they stop counting after that date? And who does the counting, anyway?
