I believe they have weekly meetings where they do readings of plays and whatnot. I know them to be a very tight knit community. Best of luck!

Show-Score.com has "socials" where you buy a discounted ticket, sit with other members, and go out for a drink afterward to discuss the show. There is a range of ages, and I don't think a senior would feel out of place.
