Looking for an L.A. director

Hello, this is my first post here. I'm located San Francisco and I plan to produce a play in the Los Angeles area within the next year. I'm at the stage now where I need to find a director, but I'm unfamiliar with the L.A. theater scene, and so I'm going to have to really educate myself quickly. Can someone recommend a good method of doing reseach on L.A. directors? Is there a web site that offers listings of L.A. theater directors, plus some background info? I would really appreciate any suggestions!
