Looking for some broadway songs

Hi all,
I'm looking for broadway songs about auditions, actors, acting, being on stage.
and also songs for a male singer about being gay.

Thanks.

The obvious choice, of course, would be "Opening: I Need This Job" from "A Chorus Line" but you need an ensemble to do that properly.

Ya I thought of chorus line, but thats been done a million times before, what I'm looking for don't need to be in an audition for say, but talk about how hard it is to be an acotr, or talk about the dreams, hopes, pain and all the feelings that actors have.
Its for an original cabaret play were gonna producer, about actors and their life behind and on stage, the one thing I really need despartly is a song for one of the characters, who is gay, and talks about how people see him as a gay man in the acting world, and how he hates it that everybody thinks that just because your gay your an actor.
it can be sad, it can be funny, I just need something to work with, the rest I can chance because I need to tranlate the songs anyway.
if anyone can think of something to help me I will be so gratfull.

re: Looking for some broadway songs

Climbing Uphill from Last 5 Years
a couple songs from [title of show]
Show Off from The Drowsy Chaperone
Opening Doors from Merrily We Roll Along (...kinda)
She Loves To Hear The Music from The Boy From Oz
I Can't Do It Alone from Chicago
You Won't Succeed on Broadway from Spamalot

If You Were Gay and Fantasies Come True from Avenue Q
Sodomy from Hair
Look into anything from the Falsetto musicals by William Finn
Also, Zanna Don't! and Hedwig and the Angry Inch
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
