Man, does this guy always have three musicals going at once? Not that I'm complaining (and I KNOW AfterEight will be thrilled 
)

Posted: 2/2/12 at 10:22pmI believe some of his early shows (pre First Lady Suite/Hello Again) had him just doing music as well. While I think his lyrics sometimes are great, and never awful, it may do him good to have a more active collaborator. I see Graciela is doing the choreography/staging once again, which in this case sounds a good fit.

Posted: 2/2/12 at 10:55pmYou're mistaken: He wrote the book, lyrics, and music for both of the shows you mention. And for my money, they feature some of his best work as a librettist. But one of the chief complaints about Lachiusa is that he often tries to do too much, so maybe he's trying it out here.
