Are these the only shows with lotteries?
Avenue Q
Hairspray
Young Frankenstein
Rent
Wicked
In The Heights
If so, my question is, which one would I have a better chance of winning?
(e.g. which one has the least amount of people usually and which one sells the most amount of lottery tickets)

I think you have your best chance with Hairspray, especially on a weekday. They draw 12 names for anywhere from 20 to 24 seats, and in my experience, just enough or slightly more people show up than there are tickets. I believe Wicked has the most seats, but hundreds of people usually show up for the lottery.
Good luck!

Posted: 6/4/08 at 9:31pmI will be going to a matinée on a week day. Should that up my chances??

Posted: 6/4/08 at 9:34pmI am not quite sure if I want to see Hairspray again. I saw the tour and it was just kinda mediocre for me.

YF really isn't that hard. More times than not that I've been around the McDonalds when they've been drawing (it's almost a standard pre-show snack for me) there have either been just enough people wher everyone wins or there have been tickets left over...and that includes weekends. So I'm pretty sure for a weekday matinee it would be fine.
I've never lost Rent going solo.
I have crappy luck with Hairspray...it took 14 times until the first time my name was drawn. The second time, everyone won, then I tried again a couple of weeks later and lost again. (Though the guy was letting these cute pre-teens cheat by entering the names of their mothers who were standing in the SRO line for Jersey Boys and then letting the daughters stand in the line for tickets while a friend ran across the street to get money... So it might have been doable if that hadn't been allowed to occur.)
LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!

Alright, I think I will just try Young Frankenstein :)
Hopefully I will like it (I have heard a lot of bad things about it).

Posted: 6/6/08 at 10:33pmI think Avenue Q is a hard lottery to win only a few tickets to give out., I tried Young Frankenstein 8 times lottery and I won every time. It also depends on the day you go weekdays are much better. Also Hairspray was very easy to win.

Posted: 6/6/08 at 11:05pmWell the only day that is free for me is Monday. So I can only see Rent or Avenue Q, and I really don't want to see Rent. How many tickets do they usually give out for the Lottery for Avenue Q?

Posted: 6/7/08 at 12:20amI won the In the Heights lottery Friday night. I was the last ticket pulled. There were probably around 100 people entered for 22 seats. I am usually very unlucky when it comes to these sorts of things.
