My friend and I, both students who have yet to get our licenses, were planning on trying the hair Lottery this evening, and we're curious as to what they mean by showing a valid ID. We both have (non-dated, but we look like high school students) student IDs, but we're wondering if that is enough.
it should be fine, since a student ID is considered valid enough to get you a student ticket.
if it will be a little while before you get your licenses, and you're concerned, why not get a non-driver's ID? I don't drive, so I have one. it's the same thing except it says "For Identification Only" on it.
That's probably enough as long as it's a photo id with your name on it. I saw at the Shrek lotto some father had a photo copy of something for his daughter, who looked like she was no older than 5, and they accepted it for her win.
Student ID's are what they are looking for...not drivers licences.
So you actually have what they want. If it were the other way around you would probably get turned away.

Not the cast for a most of the lottos. The Hair lotto (along with Wicked, 9 to 5, Avenue Q, In the Heights, Shrek, and West Side Story) is open to anyone, not just students. All you need is a valid photo ID.
To answer the OP's question, I am sure a student ID, with your photo on it, would be just fine.
My bad...but I do know that when I was at the "Legally Blonde" lottery which was VERY popular with young people if they didn't have a student ID with them they were turned away.
Legally Blonde didn't have a lottery, they had student rush. Two entirely different things.

The acceptable ID is up to the box office. They just want something that has your picture and your name. It can be a tudent ID, a driver's license, a state ID, credit card with your picture on it, etc.
