yes it's a super 80s movie. No Mention of JL in the film but, I think Ali was one of those friends that used to go to his house for his annual holiday dinners.. if you read the RENT book, it talks about it at the beginning.

Tracie's vocals blow Idina's out of the water. Tracie comes off best on this track and "Take Me or Leave Me".

the one song i really wish they put on here (or did in the movie) is christmas bells. it probably would have been a cool version.

but i think tracie will get a lot of attention from this song/movie.

How come it can't be nominated for an Oscar? Wasn't the "extra" song from CHICAGO nominated?

Is it Wilson singing with Idina at the very beginning?

Robyn -- a song has to be written specifically for a movie. Love Heals was written by Jonathan (obviously not for the movie), which makes this more of a tribute to Jonathan than an attempt for an award.

Yes, it is Angel in the beginnig that sings with Idina. I thought it was Taye when I first heard it, and then when I looked in the cd booklet and it said "ANGEL" I was very suprised. Wilson has a great "regular male" singing voice along with his "Feminine male" voice.

My favourite elements are the little break in Tracie's vocals (towards the end of the song), before the chorus jumps back in. And I really love the dynamic change and the melancholy of Rosario's opening lines.

I would absolutely love to see this performed.
