Love Heals Cut?

I just got back from a Rent screening. Loved it. Star Jones was there so I hope she talks about it on the View tomorrow. I thought "Love Heals" was supposed to play during the ending credits. Any one know why it was cut?

Yup, not cut, just not used. I think someone on here posted that it would be too "Disney." It is a little too peppy, I think. I think the director wanted to leave you stewing in your own emotions at the film's end.

me too kinda sucks it wont be used as the credits though.

maybe of them singing it at the nederlander for old times sake? no? .. oh well, a girl can dream :-/

Love Heals was never meant to be part of the film. The whole cast said it was a bonus track for the soundtrack

I quote from the soundtrack booklet: "Although Not written for Rent, we include this bonus track as a tribute to Jonathan and to help further in the cause of AIDS education."

plus its too popsy to play right after Finale B. so the credits are with chords of Will I and Finale B.
