Posted: 11/9/05 at 10:35pmI just got back from a Rent screening. Loved it. Star Jones was there so I hope she talks about it on the View tomorrow. I thought "Love Heals" was supposed to play during the ending credits. Any one know why it was cut?

Posted: 11/9/05 at 10:47pmI wouldn't be surprised if it was deemed inapprpriate for the end, simply because the tone of the song is different from that that the end of the film.

Posted: 11/9/05 at 10:47pmYup, not cut, just not used. I think someone on here posted that it would be too "Disney." It is a little too peppy, I think. I think the director wanted to leave you stewing in your own emotions at the film's end.

I just wish we had a little music-video type thing on the DVD. I think it'd be a really great feature to add.

Love Heals was never meant to be part of the film. The whole cast said it was a bonus track for the soundtrack
I quote from the soundtrack booklet: "Although Not written for Rent, we include this bonus track as a tribute to Jonathan and to help further in the cause of AIDS education."
plus its too popsy to play right after Finale B. so the credits are with chords of Will I and Finale B.
