Love Never Dies

'Did I ever say he doesn't have the right to do that? If he wants to ruin his legacy, that's up to him, but I can still think it's a bad idea. I have argued the case for my opinions and, as devonian.t says, have raised valid points. Just because they don't agree with yours doesn't make them "sad", "pathetic" or "pointless".

I am happy to discuss and debate this reasonably but if you are going to continue using such a condescending tone and upholding such an intolerant attitude, then it's not worth it for the sake of this board.

I have to agree.....
It becomes hard work just reading the long posts.

back to the question of that the big set gimick will be in this one. All that has been said so far is the use of electric light over candle light, and the opening sequence where Coney Island is created apparantly out of nothing.

I think I may hold off from this one and wait until we get to..

Phantom 7: Mission to Moscow

..in which our horribly disfigured composer anti-hero, having been banished from America for allowing his rival Raul Kenwright to escape and tour Whistle Down The Wind, decides to aim for European domination by excreting half a McMelody from his trunk and getting any young girl he can to warble it*

*He tried to get his former saucer-eyed love interest to reunite for a Russian triumph but unfortunately she had by now gone totally off her rocker touring Coney Island singing sub Enya/Cirque du Soleil dirges in her Kate Bush tribute act.

From Baz

? Andrew Lloyd Webber, who has been busy working on the album of Phantom sequel Love Never Dies.

The composer had his score re-orchestrated, which meant he had to re-record the album. Nonetheless, he's happy and enjoying himself.

All this has meant re-evaluating schedules for the physical stage show for the Adelphi in London and theatres in Toronto, New York and the Far East. From what I'm hearing, the show has been put back several months and the plan now is for it to open in the spring of next year, which means tickets won't go on sale for a while.

I'll let you know when I know.

So is there going to be another interim show for the adelphi?

I am secretly quite excited about LND but clearly its status as potential train wreck is reinforced by this news.

Love Never Dies

I would disagree, i would say its a positive move to make sure he gets it right. Im hearing more and more very positive stuff about the material for this show

Love Never Dies

"Love never dies" still sounds more like the title of a James Bond book rather than a musical.

Title song for Ms Bassey, title song for Ms Bassey........

In the States, at least, "Love Never Dies" was the tagline for Coppola's "Dracula" film.

Which I guess is why it just doesn't sound like a title to me.

Love Never Dies

Sounds like a Mills&Boon title to me.

Love Never Dies

Didn't know the Dracula film had a different title in the States. It certainly wasn't used over here. Ad while not checking isn't exactly the equivalent of the silliness of marketing foods in a different country without checking that the name has some awful connotation in the different laguage, it is still not a good oversight. I wouldn't have thought that that other association of "Love Never Dies" would be generally well known enough to be particularly problematic, though.
