LuPone leaving Gypsy on 3/3/09?

If you watch the video where Michael goes backstage with Patti, he points out a tally system she has been keeping on her dressing room wall towards the end (where she keeps track of different milestones, when an actor left the show, when she missed a show, etc.), and then she goes to the bottom of the wall and says something about 3/3/09, as if it means the end of whatever it is she's going through that entails a tally system.

What do you guys think?

that sounds about right. her contract should be for about a year, and she already has bookings for March 2009 and on for her concert with Mandy Patinkin.

Does any one know which actor left the show?

Wow... THAT's Michael Riedel?? He doesn't look bad, compared to his Post pic (kind of creepy looking). I can't wait to see her onstage... just 4 more days... Is anyone going to see Gypsy on June 10th? Say hi! I'm kind of shy.... really. from RC in Austin, Texas

P.S. I'm having avatar problems. I can't post any new avatars because of that dreaded error message. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Riedel looks nothing like his Post photo. He acutally looks and acts like David Hyde Pierce!

she won't be going to London until summer or fall of 09, though, I'd imagine.

I love Patti, but how can someone who's name is above the title of a poster covering a Broadway theatre be so eager to leave a show that's banking on them alone? It eludes me.

She has some bookings, as already said, with the Mandy Patinkin concerts, which appear to be week-long, not just one night in each city.

Or atleast she'll be at the DuPont Theatre in DE for a week...and I wouldn't be suprised the hotel + the theatre are beautiful!

staying with a show for a year is hardly being eager to leave...

most stars don't stay even that long.
that's a really big mic...

I doubt she'll leave on 3/3/09 because that's a Tuesday. I know it's rare for a lead to leave mid-week.

You have to realize that this show is going to close when Patti leaves. I remember hearing that they were going to keep it open till around early next year. And, I heard that a little bit before the show started previews.
