Posted: 7/8/06 at 7:43pmA question: Lucy the Slut makes her final appearance in Avenue Q during 'For Now'. In the London production, she talks about being saved by the Lord, but someone told me that on Broadway her final lines are something completely different. Does anyone know if this is true and what she says? Thanks :)

Posted: 7/8/06 at 7:52pmI saw it a year ago and this is what happened; she has an operation because a penny hit her in the head (Kate dropped Princeton's penny from the Empire State building) and while getting the penny taken out she also has the mean parts of her brain removed.

Posted: 7/8/06 at 7:57pmI think the line is something about her having to rush out of her yoga class to get there by the final number, and having had 20 percent of her brain removed, but only the mean parts.

The lines were changed for Vegas and they were implemented into the London production. She says something along the lines of "hey everybody, sorry I'm late,I just got out of my bible study class and wanted to get here before the final number." and claims that she "was saved by the Lord,he gave me back my chastity so I'm a virgin again!!!".

Posted: 7/9/06 at 9:46amOhh, wow. Does she still say the yoga & mean parts of brain removed thing in NYC? I think her being saved by Jesus is way funnier, I'm really glad they are using it in London. The way Julie Atherton says "he gave me back my chastity, so I'm a virgin again!" is hilarious.

Posted: 7/10/06 at 11:58amThey still have the yoga version in NY. In the vegas version she was dressed as a catholic school girl and said the line about bible study and getting her virginity back. Q in London is based on the full Vegas production so it makes sense they would use that one. Personally, I thought the NY version worked better

Posted: 7/10/06 at 12:33pmIn the original they took out half of her brain. But only the mean part and now she was a yoga teacher. I havent seen the one in Vegas so I don't know if it's any different.

i saw the saved by jesus thing in vegas. i think it works much better and is a much funnier aspect of the show...
