Hello everyone - I was looking at seats in the mezz and was worried about the safety bar being too high. Does anyone know if that bar that runs horizontally is too high and would block the view? Would row B be better than row A?
Thanks for any help!

Posted: 1/26/12 at 12:12amI can't comment on the bar but the leg room is torture in the Lunt-Fontanne Mezzanine. ...I don't know if you're tall, but that may be something to consider. I'm 5'8" and was quite uncomfortable.

broadway show fan,
I sat in the front row mezz for "Addams" many times and at 5'3 the bar was never an issue. Being we are on the short side, I can assure you their was no issue with being cramped. My father who is 6' sat their once and said he was not cramped. Remember though, this is personal experience form only row A. I never sat in B so I can't comment. I have no doubt that you will love front row mezz their. The hangover is so close and puts you right in the middle of the action!
Enjoy!

Posted: 1/26/12 at 9:25amSo being 6'3" I guess I should just stick with Ochestra seats for Ghost then? I was thinking about front Mezz. When I went to see Lysistrata at the Kerr I was shocked about how tight those Orch seats were. Luckily I was on the aisle.

Posted: 1/26/12 at 1:50pmMarkecib, definitely. The orchestra in the Lunt-Fontanne is quite nice, as long as you're in front of the over hang, otherwise you miss the top of the set/stage (which is not something you want to miss for Ghost.)

Posted: 1/26/12 at 1:54pmSTAY AWAY FROM THE MEZZ. I am 6'2" and it was hell. And I never understood why the rear of the orchestra in that theater wasn't sold as partial view seats.

Posted: 1/26/12 at 2:32pmThanks for the info! How far under the overhang is too far that it cuts off the stage? It looks like the overhang is on row J. Never been in the Lunt-Fontanne before.

Posted: 1/26/12 at 2:53pmIt really depends on the show - I sat in the last row of the orchestra for Little Mermaid and none of the main action was cut off, even when they were on the ship.

Posted: 1/26/12 at 5:00pmThe bar definitely won't be a problem for you in the mezz. I've sat there for Adams Family and had no issues with the bar or being crammed. It's a pretty decent view too. Nothing cut off.

Lunt-Fontanne Mezzanine and Stage Question #13

Planning my trip to NYC and thought I would continue this thread rather than creating a new one. Seems like Row C center is non premium but much of orch center is premium. I cannot recall how high the stage here. Is Row C too close? I hate paying extra for premium
Haven't been to Lunt since Addams Family and Little Mermaid. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Lunt-Fontanne Mezzanine and Stage Question #14
Posted: 3/3/12 at 10:06pmI'm not very familiar with the Lunt specifically, but friends who saw Ghost in London said that sitting further back was better due to the technical effects. They said that some of the effects/projections didn't work very well from the front row at least, so perhaps that's why the first couple of rows are not premium.
