OH, MARY! Reviews
 Nov 11 2024, 02:23:12 PM

I Can’t imagine the show without Cole!  He embodies the character so well, and I am interested to hear how the show plays with Hannah. I can’t wait to hear about her in the role.

My neighbor is going tonight and I will ask him to post his review on here.

Cole was very nice when I ran into him on the street. He stopped and chatted and he said they are trying to figure out an extension.

Why are audiences so poorly behaved these days?

Is is 100% the phone. You put the phone away, or silence it and people need to move their hands, eat, talk, whisper. They can’t function without the phone.

Les MIs tour cast to Boycott Trump performance
 Jun 12 2025, 01:05:43 PM

I get being vague about who played who but doesn’t a specific announcement by board, or paper or over the PA system have to be in place for understudies? Deliberately hiding it is not good and goes against that.

Does anyone have the list of understudies? I was curious who was out and who played the roles.

Wait, they pulled the costume changes?  How do they show the passage of time for the therapy sessions then?

When understudies SHOULD have gone
 Jan 16 2025, 09:18:23 AM

Interesting one for you guys. David Cassidy didn’t like getting notes in Blood Brothers and he received a few before a matinee. He was so angry that he literally walked through the performance. I was talking to Petula afterwards and she said he received notes and was upset.

I don’t quite know if that qualifies as an understudy should have gone on, but it was interesting to see how he dealt with the situation. I know an understudy would’ve done a bett

Sunset Boulevard Lyric Changes

Interesting take on it. I miss the big booming ending though. It was always a show stopper in the Broadway version. I think the revival with Close had the same version as now come to think of it as others have said.

I understand taking out the comedy relief scenes to keep with the theme of the show but I don’t know they quieted down the end of Too much in love to care. It used to be a big booming ending garnering thunderous applause.

Thanks quizking. I knew I missed something but figured they made a face or something.

'CATS: The Jellicle Ball' at PAC reviews

Saw the show and as a diehard Cats fan expected to hate it, but walked away in awe and want to see it again!!!

But I missed something. Can someone please tell me what they did in the finale when they said a cat is not a dog? The audience laughed but I looked away at Andre.

Thanks in advance!

Broadway Cares start?

I know this has been asked time and time again, but can someone just please give me the start and end of the Broadway cares collections?

Thank you!

2 tickets to Tommy, Saturday April 6th at 8 for under face value.
 Feb 26 2024, 02:54:58 PM

Hi all,

it pains me to give these up, but I have two tickets to Tommy on Saturday, April 6th at 8 PM, front row mezzanine, row A seats 108 and 109. I paid 177 per ticket and will let these go to whoever wants them for 100 per ticket. I can send them from Broadway Direct and can accept Venmo or Zelle.

Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions or interest.

A BEAUTIFUL NOISE to announce closing date soon
 Feb 22 2024, 09:23:36 AM

My question is as to why they have been fighting so hard to keep it going. I realize they want to make some money back but I feel they are desperate to keep it open for Neil Diamond.  To me it’s like they don’t want to upset him. They have been offering so many deep discounts and can’t even fill the theater at those discounts. I don’t recall seeing a show fighting so hard in a while. We are in the worst part of the year to fill theaters now and the full price thin

Fiddler end question
 Feb 11 2024, 12:40:44 PM

I agree with answer 1. He’s done there as they are.

Answer 2 is so true though. I would say it’s a nearly perfect show except all of the joyous numbers are in act 1.

Fiddler end question
 Feb 10 2024, 05:34:35 PM

I love the ending to Fiddlet. If it’s done right, it’s such a powerful, impactful scene showing that Tevye can have everything taken away from him except his traditions and he leaves Anatevka smiling. However, I always wondered why the fiddler stops playing after Tevye beckons for him to come with him.

just wondering if any of you had any ideas as to why it was staged with the fiddler, stopping playing and tucking the fiddle under his arm. <

Thank you again! Glad I stayed with A 1, 3 & 5. That way no one is in front. My Aunt is very picky about that!
