Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

I generally like to sit in the orchestra about 10 rows back in the center. I am able to get a ticket for The Little Mermaid that is orchestra right, row M, seat 20. Because this seat is at the end of the aisle against the wall, will I have a full view of the stage? What are your thoughts on this seat? Bottom line, should I go for it?

Thanks for your help!

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

Row O is the last row before the mezzanine overhang obstructs the view of the set, so you should be just fine in Row M.

Thanks Foster. I appreciate it.

Anyone have any other thoughts?

I would go for it. Have fun!

I would buy a ticket to a different show actually.

Have you seen it baddanpa? I've heard mixed reviews. I did have a great seat last November to see it and it was cancelled due to the strike.

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

I saw it today via Standing Room, so I only paid $25. If I had paid any more than that I would be really mad with myself. If you saw Tarzan, it's not much better then that. Go see In the Heights or Passing Strange.

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

Yes, I saw it this weekend. Saw Sunday In The Park and Little Mermaid. Talk about night and day. Sunday was thrilling, Mermaid was pretty lousy.

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

I really enjoyed Mermaid. Sherie Rene Scott as Ursula is worth the ticket price alone, but I thought the whole show was great. Hope you enjoy it! :)

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

I did not see Tarzan. I loved The Lion King and Aida but didn't care too much for Beauty and the Beast. Sherrie Rene Scott is one of the reasons why I want to see The Little Mermaid. It's just hard to justify spending $100 for a seat that I hope will be a full view of the stage and isn't at too extreme of an angle.

Sherie Rene Scott is the worst thing about MERMAID.

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

Mermaid is awful. As is Sherie. It's like Tarzan on wheels. Total chaos put to a better score. Why the hell did Beauty close for this GARBAGE?!

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

I don't remember anyone asking how the show was.... push wants to see the show... if someone can, just answer the question about the seats...

Ditto Act4ever.

I would buy the seat if it is your only option or try the front mezz center.

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

I would recommend front Mezz. as well if the Orch. ticket is not you're only option. Either way, enjoy the show :)

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

I say get a front mezz ticket. With a show that relies on set, its cool to see it from up above.

Thanks again for your responses. Keep them coming!

I know the Little Mermaid has recieved mixed reviews but I have been a fan of the movie since it originally came out in theaters. I just checked and there's no mezzanine seats for the date I was hoping to go.

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

If you are having trouble finding seats, I would just go with M 20.

re: Lunt-Fontanne Seating Question

Yankee, even though you might not like Spring Awakening you have to admit it's a million times better than Mermaid. Spring Awakening is brave, haunting, and amazing. Mermaid is junk, lousy, ugly-costume, junk...
