So, Christmas is nearing and I am an early shopper. I always take my niece to see a play. We have seen Spider-man, Legally Blonde, A Catered Affair ( I know but she really wanted to see it based off of one song she knew.), and Xanadu. I was wondering if Lysistrata Jones is appropriate she is 12. I know the whole idea of the show but I did not catch the show! I was going to try the game at the Flea Market but I wasn't 100% sure how it is. Thanks!
If you're okay with a 12 year old seeing a show about women withholding sex to get men to do something, then I say go for it!
Should I do Godspell instead? I mean on ilovenytheatre.com it says a 6 year old should be able to see it. How bad does it get? I guess they talk about it often but is anything shown? I know she obviously understands what they will be talking about but she is a mature girl. I do not want it to be awkward. You know? Thanks!

Don't think it'd be awkward if she knows it's not okay to trade sex for gain. Sure you'd be fine. Godspell is apparently a big turkey anyways!
Thank you! I think I am going to go with Lysistrata (Because honestly I don't want to see Godspell) I think this looks more fun anyways for her! Thank you so much for your help! How are the first couple of rows in the orchestra for the Walter Kerr?
Great seats! I'm sitting in 3rd row center. I'd just avoid the mez and balcony. I'd rather go mountain climbing that sit up in the balcony at The Kerr.
Haha I have heard pretty bad things about that seating area. It is not even available for purchase? What happened? We sat in the mid-mezz for A Catered Affair and it was okay. We did not miss that much.
They're apparently only selling balcony at the box office. Maybe you have to sign a release form now? lol
I'm going to get a balcony ticket on Wednesday when I go up for GODSPELL. It's the only way I can afford it since the discounts are pricing me out...
I'm giving away 2 pairs of tickets to Lysistrata Jones at the Walter Kerr, check out my contest! http://backstagebarbie.blogspot.com/2011/11/win-tickets-to-lysistrata-jones-on.html
