MADONNA at THREEPENNY OPERA TODAY! — Page 2

"As far is as known--Madonna has never had, nor needed cosmetic surgery. Seriously. If you pay attention to people who stay in shape, it's not hard to believe at all."

I'm not talking about cosmetic surgery on her body, but minor work done on her face.

If people are saying that a vigorous exercise routine can give someone a very youthful-looking body, I agree.

But if you are insisting that she looks 19 in the face without ANY cosmetic surgery, I suggest that that is highly, highly, HIGHLY unlikely. Thirtyfive, perhaps. But nineteen?

No WAY.

Besides, so what if she has had cosmetic surgery? It's not like that is unusual in showbiz. In fact it's probably the norm more than the exception.

But somehow, people are willing to believe that anyone and everyone in showbiz has had work done EXCEPT their particular favorites.

Since when is having had work done a character flaw?

"But seeing her in person or on TV without airbrushing, you can tell it's the same face plus age. And she looks fantastic. "

Then really, we don't have much of a disagreement. All I'm suggesting is that the statement - by whoever said it - that she looks 19, was a bit of hyperbole UNLESS she's had work done. And even then, I've never seen cosmetic surgery take 28 years off a person's appearance.

No surgeon in the world can deliver that.
