As I said earlier, I doubt that's how she is in the show, and they all probably woke up at 5:30am.
But for the average joe, it may not have been the most appreciated performance on TV because they don't have the connection to theatre every day.
I agree that Ashley's protrayal on the Today Show was a little too cheery. When I saw the show she carried herself in a totally different manner. I also agree that waking up early to do the Today Show after performing last night plays a factor in how she was today. See the show first before making too harsh of a decesion.
With improving her British accent maybe she can ask Madonna for advice?j/k!

I thought it was very good! If the actual show is better than their perfromance on Today than it must be mind-blowing. I <3 Ashley Brown!!

Mary Poppins in the original book was NOT like the character Julie Andrews portrayed in the film. As far as I can recall she was exactly as you have described the stage character.
