I really have to give kudos to the creative team over at MARY POPPINS. Their performance at the Thanksgiving Day parade was really inventive and what they just did on the Christmas day parade was no exception.

It was thrilling to see the entire Main Street filled with dancers doing the "Supercalifragulisticexpalidious" dance steps.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

And here's a behind-the-scenes look at how they did it:

I was incharge of about half of the kids that performed this number. My kids were in Red and Blue. We actually only had one rehearsal together and then we filmed the performance. It was fun experience. The kids were all cheerleaders and dancers from around the country.

Are the kids playing Jane and Michael in the show or were they hired for the parade?

EDIT: It's Cassady Leonard and Neil McCaffrey.

I also enjoyed the parade performance as well!
