A close friend of mine dated Michael right after Falsettos. He was living pretty nicely at the time. Suffice it to say he fell on hard times. He appears to still be working based on his BWW biography, however.

He's playing Tateh in RAGTIME right now in North Carolina - the production with Norm Lewis and Julia Murney.

Just last week, Michael was in a production of Ragtime at North Carolina Theatre with Julia Murney and Norm Lewis. Wish I could have made the trip. I heart Michael Rupert.

Glad to hear he is working. I had heard he was very sick. But I don't know if there is any truth to that.
