When they cancelled the second act, I assume that they gave everyone a full refund -- or is that a dangerous assumption?
Wait, did you get a refund!?? If not, that's f*cked up.
Now, strictly from an audience point of view I would have been pissed if I only got to see the first act or something. As a performer I know that stuff happens esp. since I'm one of those "I'm vommiting but I can still perform" people. BUT I paid my money and if you can't give me the second act because a performer's voice is shot(not they burst a blood capillary or twisted their ankle or something) I understand, but you better give me something! Maybe free tickets to the next show or a dinner coupon or something AND you better be kind about my wilingnes to oblige "thank you so much for understnading" etc. What do airlines do when they overbook or strand you? What do hotels do? Seriously, where were the producers on this one-aren't they concerned with the PR?

I just called my inside source at the theatre and here is what he said...
1. The show is back in full swing so no worries and
2. Everyone who wanted a refund got a refund and that they accomodated everyone who wanted to change dates
I HATE when rumors like this start and people feed into them without even calling to check the facts.

I agree with RobbieJ...S**t happens, when did we stop caring if the guy was ok, to why the hell didn't he just take out his voice so I could see the second act...
Sigh. I wanted to love this show SO SO much. And I just didn't.

Just got our tickets switched to the Tuesday after next. They were super nice, and apologized over and over.

Cookie, or gold star?
"Everyone who wanted a refund got a refund"
I can't think of any reason why you would NOT want a refund if half the show was cancelled. I don't mean this in an obnoxious way, I'm truly asking -- is there a reason why you wouldn't want a refund in this circumstance?

I think they mean instead of rebooking your ticket...
