Not really... she's not on stage for SEVERAL musical numbers, including the audition scenes (except for popping in and out randomly for comedic effect), "Little Lamb," the entire Tulsa/Louise scene, "Gimmick," and "The Strip."
Vlad and Estra in WAITING FOR GODOT. do they ever leave the stage??
Lincoln and Booth in TOP DOG/UNDERDOG
the entire cast of ALTAR BOYZ.
depending on the production, the "pantamime" in FANTASTICKS. some choose to keep her/him on for the entire production...
also Father (God) in CHILDREN OF EDEN. on stage a lot.
Richard the III
Theresa in Boy Gets Girl (If I remember right, there's only one scene that she's not in.)
Cass in Wonder of the World
Isn't the cast of Godspell always onstage?
Celie in The Color Purple and Fanny in Funny Girl
Ariel in TLM has VERY LITTLE offstage time.
That's not true. she doesn't show up until nearly 15 minutes into the show. And there are about 5 songs that she isn't on stage for. Not to mention she has a body double for some scenes (a very unconvincing body double).
What about Mame in Mame? I saw a production of this at my high school once, and my mom commented how she rarely left the stage.
And if you want to get technical, the Band Director in Chicago never leaves the stage. Okay, it doesn't help that the band is on stage, but the Band Director does have some lines.
Nicholas Nickleby...he's on stage for almost the entire 8 hours...
There's a show that's 8 hours long?
Also, wickedfan, why isn't Ariel's body double convincing?
Mark in RENT.

yes...over two nights or one long day. It's called "The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby" and the main character is on stage almost the entire time. It was the first Broadway show to hit the $100 mark. In ran from Oct 4, 1981 - Jan 3, 1982 at the Plymouth and was revived in 1986.

caitlinette - have you seen TLM??? once you see it, your question will be answered..
I haven't seen it but isn't Billy in Billy Elliot on most of the time?
Hedwig, Hedwig and the Angry Inch

The entire cast of Godspell
All of the Gods in Once on this Island,

I went to a workshop before I saw the show the other day and the person who led it was her double. The first time when she is becoming a human is very good but the second when she is caught or whatever and you don't see her face, it's awful.
Bobby Child in Crazy for You.

ummm, refer to my previous post for an answer, Drunk Chita.
Tom he was quoting caitlinette's previous post. Well that's my contribution to the thread!
'Whose Life is It Anyway?' by Brian Clark
Trafalgar Theatre (now The Nederlander) April 1979.
Tom Conti played a totally parallized hospital patient and had to be in bed on stage for the duration of the play moving only his head slightly to talk -duration of play-2hr 30m!
The play was revived in Londons West End 3 years ago with the lead being taken by Kim Catrall from 'Sex And The City.
A movie was released starring Richard Dreyfuss
TooDarnHot, I'm seeing TLM in July. I guess I'll find out then. (Although I saw a video of the transformation scene, I didn't notice much of a difference between the double and Sierra.)
When is the second time Sierra has a body double?
Oops...sorry Drunk Chita, and thanks dramarama.
